Red Highland cattle

We have some special instructions to help keep everyone safe from the spread and the potential spreading of Covid-19

Due to Covid - 19 we now have made some changes to what we provide.

We have taken covid-19 training in cleaning. We will give you a check list of things to go over on arrival and before your departure. You will be given checklists of what has been done in terms of cleaning for you.  Please also take your own precautions and disinfected wipes and gel for when you are traveling around the island.   We will provide some basics in terms of hand sanatising and disinfectant for the cottage, but always good to bring your own supplies.

We suggest that you make an order in advance for a food delivery from the Co-op to the cottage rather than frequenting the local shops for food - helping to limit the spread of Covid-19.

On arrival, please do not wear outdoor shoes in the cottage - please bring indoor shoes.  Same applies for when you are coming and going from the cottage. Please remember to remove shoes before entering the cottage and keep outdoor shoes in the porch.

We are taking extra special precautions and have new cleaning routines in place.
Entry now is not until 5pm on the day of arrival due to the extra cleaning between guests that is needed.

We have some special instructions that we need you to agree to carry out on arrival and before leaving so as to make the cottage safe for our cleaner after your stay.

Before you leave - we ask that you do the following:

Open bedroom windows before departure We need you to strip your beds including the mattress protector and put linen and towels straight into the washing machine. It has been found that Covid - 19 is found mostly in bedrooms and bathrooms so we need your cooperation in helping us to manage and prevent the spread of the disease.

We ask you to put a hot wash of 60 degrees for your used bedding Any other linen should be put into a red washable bag We ask you to take away your rubbish from the cottage. Departure is by 10AM. It is very important that these rules are adhered to as changeover are taking much longer than before. We now need to take away most of our crockery, glasswear, utensils and pots and pans from the cottage so that everything can get washed inbetween visits - turnovers are usually the same day so we need to limit contents and utensils to the bare minimum in order to keep the cottages safe for you and everyone.

However, we encourage you to take your own favourite cooking utensils and or pots and pans and all your creature comforts!!

Before you leave - we ask that you do the following
We need you to now open bedroom windows before departure
We need you to strip your beds including the mattress protectors and put your used linen and towels straight into the washing machine.
We ask that you disinfect all door handles, light switches and other commonly touched surfaces including cooker handles, fridge and cupoard handles.
Covid - 19 research has revealed that the virus is likely to survive longer in bedrooms and bathrooms so we need your full cooperation in focusing in on these areas before departure and giving it a good clean.  We will do this again after your departure but we need the cottage to be safe for our cleaner entering after your departure.

We ask you to put a hot wash of 60 degrees for your used bedding Any other linen should be put into a red washable bag We ask you to take away your rubbish from the cottage and place in the outside bin at either Taigh Ciuil or at Aisling Cottage.

Please remember to not wear outdoor shoes in the cottage - please bring indoor shoes for changing into on arrival.
